How do you run a client interview in Coachably?

TL;DR: Build a reusable interview template under Templates, then run it from the client’s profile. Save answers as a draft or complete the interview and export it as a PDF.

How do you create an interview template?

A template is a reusable set of questions. Build it once and use it with any client.

  1. Go to the Templates tab, then open the Interviews sub-tab.
  2. Tap Add Template.
  3. Enter the Template Name and an optional description.
  4. Tap Add Question, write the question text, and pick a Question Type: Free Text, Single Select, Multi Select, Scale, or Yes / No.
  5. Toggle Required if the question must be answered before completing the interview.
  6. Repeat for each question, then tap Save Template.

For Single Select and Multi Select questions, add Options. For Scale questions, set Min and Max labels.

FAQ

Where are the interview answers stored? Answers are saved in the client’s profile and visible in the interviews section. A completed interview is always available to review.

Can I export an interview as a PDF? Yes. Open a completed interview and tap Export PDF. The PDF includes all questions and answers.

Can one client have multiple interviews from different templates? Yes. Each template is a separate interview, so a client can have interviews from multiple templates, such as an initial assessment and a one-month follow-up.

Can I edit answers after completing an interview? No. Once you tap Complete Interview, the answers are locked. If you need corrections, run a new interview with the same template.
