How do you add a client in Coachably?

TL;DR: Open your client list, click Add Client, enter the first name, last name and email, then click Send Invitation. Your client gets an email with a link to join.

How do you add a client?

  1. Go to your client list and click Add Client.
  2. In the Add New Client window, enter the First Name and Last Name.
  3. Enter the client’s Email Address.
  4. Click Send Invitation.

All three fields are required, and the email must be valid. If something’s missing, you’ll see a hint next to the field.

What happens after you send the invitation?

Your client gets an email with your name and a link to join. When they click it, they create an account and land in your roster.

The client appears in your client list right away, so you can start planning trainings before they even confirm their account.

What if the invitation didn’t arrive?

  1. Ask your client to check their spam folder.
  2. Make sure the email address is correct — re-add the client with the right address if needed.
  3. If nothing arrives, reach out through Help → Contact support.

FAQ

Does the client need the app to accept the invitation? No. The client opens the link from the email and creates an account — nothing to install first.

Can I add a client without an email address? No. The email is required, because that’s where we send the invitation link.

Can I change the client’s name later? Yes. Open the client’s profile and edit their details in the general info tab.

Will the client see my trainings right away? The client sees scheduled trainings once they join by confirming their account through the email link.
