How do you get started with Coachably?

TL;DR: Get started in four steps — set up your profile, add your first client, schedule a training, and record a payment. Every step lives on the dashboard and takes seconds.

How do you get started with Coachably?

Coachably is an all-in-one platform for personal trainers. These first steps set up everything you need to run your coaching from one place.

  1. Set up your profile. Open the Profile tab, tap Edit Profile, fill in your name and contact details, and save.
  2. Add your first client. Tap Add → Client, enter the client’s name and email, then tap Send Invitation. See How to add a client in Coachably? for the full walkthrough.
  3. Schedule a training. Tap Add → Workout, choose the client, pick the date and exercises, and save. More detail in How to create a training?.
  4. Record a payment. Tap Add → Payment, choose the client, enter the amount and due date, and save. Full steps in How to add a payment?.

You can do the steps in any order, but a complete profile makes your client invitations look more trustworthy.

What do you see on the dashboard after these steps?

The dashboard is your daily home base. Once your profile, client, training, and payment are in place, it fills with live information.

You’ll see your upcoming events in the calendar, so you always know who’s training next. Stats cards summarize your active clients and recent payments at a glance.

Plan alerts flag any training plan that’s ending soon, so no client falls through the cracks. From here, tap Add anytime to create the next client, training, or payment.

FAQ

Do I need to set up my profile before adding a client?

No, you can add a client first. But a complete profile shows your name in the invitation email, so clients recognize who’s inviting them. It’s worth doing first.

What will I see on the dashboard right after I log in?

Right after your first login, the dashboard is mostly empty. As you add clients, trainings, and payments, it fills with upcoming events, stats cards, and plan alerts.

Can I add multiple clients at once?

You add clients one at a time, each with their own name and email. This makes sure every client gets a personal invitation with the right contact details.

What’s the difference between a training and a training plan?

A training is a single session on a specific date. A training plan is a multi-week program built from several trainings. Use a plan when you’re coaching toward a longer goal.

Where can I get help inside the app?

Open the Help & Support drawer any time — tap the ? icon in the top bar on web, or Help in the More menu on mobile. From there you can ask the in-app assistant, browse the docs, or contact support to report an issue or request a feature.
