How do you message a client in Coachably?

TL;DR: Open Messages, tap New Message, pick a client, type your message and tap Send. It’s a private one-to-one chat — your client replies from their own app.

How do you send a message to a client?

Messages is a direct, one-to-one chat between you and each client.

  1. Open Messages from the navigation.
  2. Tap New Message.
  3. In the picker, choose a client under Contacts, or reopen a Recent conversation. Search by name if the list is long.
  4. Type your message in the Type a message… box at the bottom.
  5. Tap Send.

Your client receives the message in their own Messages and can reply from their app. New replies arrive automatically while you have the screen open.

Where do you find your conversations?

All your chats live on the Messages screen, newest first.

  • On a wide screen, the conversation list sits on the left and the open chat fills the rest — pick a name to read and reply side by side.
  • On a phone, you see the list first; tap a conversation to open it, and use Back to return to the list.

Use the search box (Search conversations…) to filter by client name. A conversation with unread messages is marked so you can spot it at a glance.

What do the message states mean?

  • Seen — the client has opened and read your message.
  • Not sent — tap to retry — the message didn’t go through (usually a connection hiccup). Tap it to send again.
  • Load older messages — scroll up and tap this to bring in earlier history in a long chat.
